    I've decided to "stick" to making only walking sticks (longer than canes but shorter than hiking sticks) from now on mostly because I relate to them best.     Something a bit different. Took an old cold tap and mounted it on a stick. Carved a channel down the stick and glued in some small gravel. Made a drop of water from a piece of plastic and glued it into the tap end.

    We are having a really hot and dry summer! Our lake is very low so this morning I hiked along the banks looking to harvest some previously sunken limbs. I did okay. I ought to be able to fashion some cane handles from the twisted roots I found too.
