The wood is free I get it at the saw mill where I work. We get stacking sticks we stack green lumber on for drying the 2x2 by the cane comes under the stacking where the fork lift can pick them up we can not use them I pick them up before my clean up crew haul them to the dump this wood comes from Indonesia I take them to my dad and cut it down to an octagon shape an make the handles on his lath. Those look fantastic Randy. They are quickly becoming your signature cane! You shouldn't have many problems selling them at a craft fair or similar venue when ready.
