Got 6 Huckleberry with the root knob I'll get to turn into canes in a year or longer ended up losing my camp saw I used to cut with don't know how i done it had that thing for 15 years.

I see some nice looking sticks in the future,particularly some interesting handles. I've never used huckleberry, how is it to work with?
It's a hard dense wood I like working with it I use my dremel tool to sand down the knod after I cut off what I don't want. I got one drying now pictures later

Those look like they will make some dandy walkers. As far as losing the saw that's a bummer. I lost my favorite pocketknife awhile back so I went out and got another one.The old one showed up last week in one of my hip boots, go figure! Saw might turn up where U least expect.
