This is a carving I did for my sister birthday last year. It was the first time I have tried to do a representation of a photo. The dog and horse are my sisters. It is basswood. I do not think I have shared this. If I have I am sorry for the duplication. I did not see it in content.

as always pretty dam good. well balanced picture

interested in the finish ? stone? or are your taking it further, it looks as if its finished.yet at the same time it also looks as though you could the base for a be representing a paricular variations of rocks

Sort of looking into that for the imp i have to finish

It looks a sizeable carving with lots of attention to the texture of the animals, almost sense the intereaction between them

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

cobalt, It was made to fit in a specific place in my sisters house. It is 14"x 14" and hangs in a small recessed area near the fire place.
