I'm almost done with a holly stick. I'll post pics when it's done. It didn't dry white. More of a mottled grey to it. From what reading I've done holly can be difficult to cure and keep white. In spite of the color of mine I do like the wood. It's very nice to work with. Hard enough that it holds it's shape well but soft enough you can still file and sand it easily.
