I spent a good part of the afternoon tuning up my tools. Bringing cutting edges back to a premium edge.this is something I do about 3 times a year. Worked on both my carving knives and and palm chisels. Because I have learned to strop on a regular bases there was only a few tool that had some micro chips in the blade an had to be reworked. If your new to carving I would encourage you to learn to use you strops every time you are done using it or before you use it again. By doing this I always have a sharp tool. It is not a lot of work to brig an edge back if it dose dulls and it minimizes micro chips that can lead to unwanted marks and bigger chips.
