#78 . . . and am quite pleased in the finished product - BEECH and MAPLE. IF able I'd like to complete one cane per week this fall. And quit at #100. . . mid-winter, probably.

I like it, nice taper to it and the knob is a nice fit for the diameter of the stick.

I really like how the "doll head" knobs fit - and use them as often as practical - however, I also like the Mother Nature Made knobs.

Say how do you go about making those balls for the top? I'm trying my hand at it and it's a lot of sanding from a small log I started with.

I buy them . . . at a local craft store such as Michaels or Hobby Lobby or on line @ Caseyswood.com. The Casey product is 100% Beech from Vermont.
