Probably has a very interesting story behind it.... ..maybe some got better and didnt need it and just couldnt wait to throw it away... who knows? I actually found my first pool stick in the trash...it was a two piece turned into a "three piece" after someone lost a bet....not sure what all went down...but I ended up with a broken pool stick(decent Brunswick, but not a desirable one), but hey, I was about 8y/o...played everyday and couldnt wait to get the "right glue" and clamp it the "right way"....still had a bit of a wobble...but it worked fine for me....still managed to keep it after all these years too. Fairly common joint so I dont have problems with shafts....I just have trouble walking around the darn table theses days....lol.
Everything "in the trash" has a story....once got a complete stereo out of the trash....lol...the wife came out and THANKED me for taking it....apparently the husband had been less than faithful....and so goes life....
