Thanks.Eventually I'm going to try a steampunk themed stick..It's hard to explain what it is so just google steampunk.That is a 3/4x3/4x1/2 fitting.I used gorrila glue to adhere it all together..The handle part is one piece that has been turned on a lathe to make it fit very tight.The main part of it is ash and it butts against the handle inside the fitting..Apparently the glue is made for wood and metals..I like the way it turned out and am working on a second one now.
