I just want to say how grateful I am of this forum and mostly how well it is supervised and so easily maneuvered within for us members! This is not my only hobby, I am on other forums but this is the only site that I can honestly say there's no hassle, no extra verification, no special codes sent to email to make a login legit and there is no delay after making posts. Most of all I praise this WalkingStick forum for not resorting to the mass pressure advertising that is rampant on sites like this today! This place rocks! 😉

Thank you for the kind words, Valky.
I wish all forums were as easy going as this one. I manage 8 forums and a couple of them really test my fortitude on occassion. WE (VerticalScope) are most proud to have YOU GUYS as the pillars of the community.

One of my other hobbies is stationary steam engines. I joined a forum after jumping through numerous hoops to register then found out it's impossible to login again once you log out. Username and password is invalid unless you request a special code number sent to your email, Really! I mean are steam engines a threat to our national security???

I tried to join a .22 caliber rimfire forum (I was state champion twice in IHMSA) and once again in attempting to register it required me to check my email for codes and again when logging in it found my password or username invalid so guess what? I decided it wasn't worth the hassle. They won't miss me anyway and I can easily say I can do without them!
I reckon I will just stick to this forum and forget about looking elsewhere with my hobbies!(y):giggle:

wow man, somebody in the universe has tagged you for sure.
This company (VerticalScope Inc.) has several firearms forums. I joined www.rugerforum.net for information on an old Ruger 10/22 that I've had for over 25 years and needed info on how to take it apart to clean it properly.
Speaking of tournaments. . . . when I was in the Navy, I was on the Navy Pistol Team and competed in several military matches and did quite well. On one of my ships, we were visiting a Navy base in Germany and they challenged us to a shooting match. I shot "their" .22 match rifle and won some of the matches. Shooting the .38 and .45 pistols, we did very good. Shooting their German Ruger pistols, it was pitiful LOL. So, with my wins there, do you think I qualify for the "international" record holder ?? LOL.
I really don't have any suggestions for you if the forums are outside of VerticalScope. If they are owned by VerticalScope, I can find out who the manager is for that particular forum and help you out if you need it.
Keep trying.

I might keep trying but for now I'm just not into it for a spell. I was Kansas State IHMSA Champ back in 1999 -2001 with my Ruger single six NR9 with a hooded front sight. Those were the days my friend!
Sorry! I reckon we need to get back to the walking stick posts! 🙄
Weather permitting with Spring coming, I have 3 sticks to finish and one to completely redo!
