I found this piece of live oak as I was doing my "stick hunting." I let it cure for three and a half years before I got the bark off of it; that took about four months. At the top, it's right at two and three quarters in diameter. At about the second twist down, it's 4 inches in diameter. The completed piece is 36 inches. I only used some spray polyurethane for the finish.

welcome to the forum, Guy. That is a great looking piece.
if it is too bulky for a walking stick, there are many other uses for it. (limited only to your imagination).

Welcome aboard, Guy! Beautiful stick! I really envy you folks down south on the availability of twisties. That one is an absolutely stunning example. Thanks for sharing!
