The canadian airforce has flown its lancaster bomber to the uk to take part in memorial services for the troops that had fallen during the 2nd world war.
There are only 2 lancasters left flying now and was greeted at RAF Conningsby by hundereds of sight seers who had waited for hours to see it even tho there was a downpour of rain.
It will take part in flights from several airshows escorted by spitfires, hurricanes and the RAF stunt team the red arrows
Hoping to see it fly as it will be the last time 2 of these will ever fly together again.there flying to another local airfield where another lancaster is but is no longer airworthy due to metal fatique .getting tickets fto see them is impossable
Lincolnshire had more raf bombing airfields than anywhere elese in the country and is a welcome sight and sound with its unusual drone of its engines and would reconise it immediatly just by its sound same for the spitfire so looking forward to see them all fly together probably for the the last time.
