Looks great. I like the turned ball on the top. The overall shape reminds me of a scythe snath.

I purchase those maple handles on line from Casey Wood Products - they are excellent.

Yesterday afternoon I returned to the home where I found that stick back in January just to offer it to the home owner. Much to my surprise this young man lives there with other ONU students and will give the cane to his father who owns the place. That was FUN.

I'm almost done with one that I'm giving to a friend of a friend.

I don't often get opportunities to give something back these days so I take them when I can.

I like the one you're holding in the second picture. I have an unfinished one in the barn that could be the twin to it. (And, since I have a lathe, I could make a ball for it, too)

I've given a few away over the years. My favorite was one I made for my Aunt Bev for her 70th birthday. She was crazy about loons, so I carved one into the handle and painted it. Turned out really nice.
