I have one of the small Merlin tools. I use it mostly on roughing out carvings.

I use the larger one on an angle grinder. Best rough out tool I've ever used, but use with care, it is a chainsaw after all.

Looks the type of tool require to make a shank from a tree trunk, be careful.

I have seen something similar here in the UK from a retailer called Machine Mart. As with the other guys, they always seemed a little intimidating to me. N.
