Is Cedar [ Cedrus Libani ] good for making tops and carving?

I had to look it up.

Cedar of Lebanon would be the common name.

Other than that I know nothing.

Cedar is a good wood but it can be hard to work with. it is one of those woods that can chip out when you are carving. I use power for finer detail. You also want to wear a mask when sanding and using power!!! these are cedar walking sticks.

Cedar wood is lovely but as CV3 has mentioned can chip easily when carving. CV3 nice Cedar sticks.
