I had another of those 6' pine closet poles I made the St. Nick stick from, so I started a new project. This is the rough out of the 1st piece. 3' of closet pole for the shank and I cut the handle from a standard pine 2x6. I'm looking to finish it off as full size decorative candy cane. We'll see how this one looks I have another idea for the second one

well done .looks like a half crook the finish and joint looks good .

Be careful with the handle pine can be a difficult material to handle and often needs strengthening with a hardwood dowel and the crook is prone to breaking if dropped, But you seem to use that material a lot without problem.
