I like to share when I find a good how to that I found to be worth the investment. They say the carving is in the eyes when doing faces. Part of the carving faces I have struggled with over the years. Forming the eye mound and finding symmetry from right to left. I am always looking for a way to improve my eye carving. Not long ago I ordered a DVD on carving eyes done by Dylan Goodson. He is a very good carver and instructor. He gives classes around the country on carving. His method of doing eyes is not hard to learn and will works well on sticks. I just had a chance to start a topper using the method. I was really pleased the outcome. The process works very well. I do not have the same tools he uses but it is about the process not the tools..
