I have to agree about the format on face book i also prefer this format .However tthe huge qualtiy oft he work shown is superb. with much more activity there are several sites on face book involving walking sticks I tend to stick to the one with more UK stick makers on there .Large range of carving and rams horn sticks which suits my style of stick making.

The site has slowed down somewhat probably the time of year. I havnt been in the workshop for some time but have started to draw up plans for future toppers and plan of doing a large range of interchangeable toppers for myself.

I like it for finding people with similar types of hobby where cross fertilisation of ideas and methods of working can complement my own and hopefully mine theirs.

One guy I tend to follw is Sasa Trikulja whos carvings on Antler Coronets, Horn and Gun stocks is excellent, his coronet carving is certainly inspiring me to "have a go"

totally agree with glops regarding cross fertilisation of ideas . I follow a decoy site although I don't shoot there work is outstanding and it has introduced me to different species of water fowl.. It stimulates ideas and techniques
