Industrial arts, aka "shop" is no longer a requirement for high school graduation.

My grandson has loved tinkering in the garage for several years. He has his own shop apron and tools.

Last Saturday he asked if he could have his own work area and a "work station."

He had been working on my portable work bench.

This weekend he will have his work space and a heavy duty bench, with adjustable clamp, and a pegboard for tool storage. Can't wait to see what he makes next.

Reminds me of when I was a small boy, my g-pa made me my very own work bench with a hand crank grinder, a small vice, peg board to hang my tools and my very own work stool to sit on just like my Dad's! Nicely done CAS !!

Thank you! We've had fun in the garage for years. First, we completed all the kids' projects from Lowe's. Then I asked him what next? He was six then. He said, "let's build a hideout."

And so we did. Blue Azure Wood Door Rectangle
