Thanks. I enjoy working with hiking sticks, primarily natural vine twists. I have several dozen I am drying and hope to finish soon. The wood is various (some not recongizable) but alll hard wood, I have become more involved lately with walking canes (several of which are also twists). I have some hickory and wild cherry drying for canes which I would like to attached door knobs. I was in Savannah recently and happened to run across several vintage crystal, and porcelain knobs that I am anxious to mount.
I recently got some magnolia limbs and am trying to decide if they will be suitable for canes. They are somewhat heavy and not sure how they will clean up. Anyone have experience with magnolia?
Thanks again. I look forward to future communications on the forum.
