Hey all, been lurking for a while figured I might as well jump in. My dad made canes and walking sticks and it always fascinated me. Now that I am a little older I finally have some patience and though I would give it a try. Of course I am now hooked. This is my second attempt at carving a face on a stick.

there is only 1 rule with stickmaking and that s there are no rules, just enjoy

I would recomend CV advice about carving i havnt been carving long and find stickmaking clubs and carving clubs pretty helpful .

They will help you to widen your ideas on what a stick should be and improve your carving as well as the social aspect of life
