Something I've been contemplating doing is making a Grinder Sled for making spirals on the lathe! This looks like something that is doable without all the fancy and expensive spiral machinery.

You're welcome! What I like about it is that I have most of the materials already -- just got to get it together!

I picked up a steel pipe that would fit into the rest holder on my lathe -- and a flang to screw the pipe into and bolt to the bottom of a table top for a grinding sled.

This is a slow motion project -- don't expect quick updates, I'm doing it in spare moments of time!
