Nice one -- I like the hames also! And I like the fact that they are a little heavy! But I've seen some pretty elderly people using them, so they must not be too heavy.

Not sue why picture did not post above. First time I tried to post a picture from a pad. came back to computer.
I have a hame and an unfinished Diamond Willow stick that I can't wait to finish. I really like what you have done with you 'attitude adjuster'. I'm going to follow to see if you have any other advice on this combination of hame/diamond willow pieces.

Old thread but that is a beautiful stick. I have wanted a Diamond Willow stick for ages but the shipping from way up north is a little steep. They sure are nice though.

Randy, I agree - that is beautiful wood !!
not being a country boy, I had to look up "hames" (two curved pieces of metal or wood forming or attached to the collar of a draft horse, to which the traces are attached).
where in the world did you find a brass one ?? (and where do you find Diamond Willow).
