Hello everyone my name is Jim Bobbitt Aka the DixieDawg, I love to work with wood. I carve wood, make walking sticks, repair wood, hunt for wood, strip bark off wood, stain wood, poly wood, glue wood, unglued wood, paint wood, strip paint off wood, store wood, I think that's it. Oh I forgot clean the wood off the floor after working with wood. Again I love wood! A little about myself I am a disable veteran who loves his country and family and loves to learn more about making things out of wood without using big ass power tools just hand held tools. Again hello.

Welcome! I think you found a perfect fit here! I'm a hand tool person myself, two of them to be exact. A saw and a rasp, I guess three if you count a whole lot of sandpaper! Anyways... Looking forward to seeing your work.

Welcome! Sounds like you'll fit right in. Walking sticks are great hand tool projects. I use power tools but even then the bulk of the work on my sticks is done with files, rasps, and sandpaper.
