Hello, I've been making walking sticks for a couple of years now and have what could be considered an obsession. Seeing the craftsmanship and artistic skills in everyone's work is truly inspiring. My work has been mainly with Crab apple, Hickory, Red bud, Oak and Maple.

Welcome aboard Markus! I have just begun, but already my wife says that this is an obsession. I'm looking forward to learning from your experiences.

Hey Marcus, I like the photos in your gallery, What the heck is pyracantha? Never heard of it before.
Hello Lewey, Pyracantha is a vicious evergreen shrub loaded with red berries and long thorns. I have a large one and am also growing a fence along the back of my property with them as well. You can cut them down to nothing and they will still grow about 4' a year.
