I really like this one, Randy. The ripples in the bark give it a wild look.
I had a hornbeam stick (unfinished) I used when I had to go into the cow pasture for anything. We had a bull who needed a bit of a reminder now and then and the hornbeam was just the ticket.

You got me wanting one of those ,went out and dug up a couple this morning ,I'd made several out of Hornbean but never used the root.
