went i bit mad and orded a japanese rasp saw , several of my friends have recomended it it cuts on both sides one side coarse other side fine ,they dont clog up so i am told anyone used them ? if so what is your opinion

also orded some detailed sanding pens they seemed like just the job for the water buffalo horn fish i carved it just needs finishing off also going to get those micro pads CV3 recomended spent to much time on the fish not to get a good finish

Yes I bought one of these last year on a recommendation, It's the most used rasp I have. I use the rougher side to take the edges off my handles when it's come off the bandsaw. I don't use the rougher side as much but the smoother side is great for first rounding off.
Brilliant tool.

Had a Shinto gor a while now, good tool for roughing out stick handles.

Looking forward to having a go at it , the weather is not so clever to cold in the workshop and had some jobs to do in the house. Am hoping to get down to the woods over the weekend to start cutting hazel.

Dont worry about it, i dont think it would show on line anyway. I didnt notice anything.

looking forward to seeing some of your work again.

Hasnt the better half got the paint yet? , my wife gets the paint chooses the colour and i have to paint it .I do try and avoid going to the shop to get it, she does asks my opinion then get what she thinks anyway. lol

would rather have some honest ctritic anyway . I sometimes think people are to nice and it dosnt help the carving my old lecture didnt pull any punches when it came to assesing the work and it does help
