Hello, my name is Roger I live in California and have been making canes for maybe 10 years with a break in there for a couple of years. Why I make them I have no real idea, my Grandfather made crude walking sticks so maybe it was to impress him but he's long gone and I'm still making them. I do various things art-related involving wood, and they are all to show off the beauty of the wood. This will lead me to make some odd canes sometimes just because I can't see cutting the beautiful figure in the wood so I have to think of a way to leave it. Everything I make takes a very long time to complete I'm a bit of a perfectionist. Anyway, I look forward to exploring the site and posting some photos.
