Maybe its the cold. Maybe its the short daylight. Maybe its the after the holidays hangover. Possibly a combination of all the above. Just can't seem to get motivated to start any projects. I have several I could be doing. Got a request for an outdoor themed hiking stick with a bear or an eagle. Another person is interested in a fishing themed stick. Somebody sent me a rolling pin they would like a spirit done on. Started a couple Christmas themed candle holders for my wife and they are still sitting on the bench mocking me. Perhaps with the mid 50* weather that is headed our way next week I'll get outa this funk. :phew: Need some motivation!!

I think we all go through spells like that. I know I do. My last one was right before and during the holidays. I didn't do more than look in my shop a couple times for over two weeks straight.

You'll get over it. It could just be your creative batteries are taking a little time to recharge too.

Same over here in the UK, as they say the mind is willing but the body is week, its hard to think about the cold w'shop that could do with a tidy up and to get inspired when sat in front of a nice warm fire with a pot of tea ( or coffee )

For the most part I can't blame it on the weather. It's been in the 70's all week. There seems to be those times when my get up and go seems to have gotten up and gone with out me.The wife says its because I only have two speeds, full throttle and low gear. She is right.

I totally agree! This winter has been blah for sure.... Been difficult for me to get motivated, usually the long dark winters are conducive to actually getting things done; not the case this year..... Only been to the shop a couple times since early December, however we are slowly gaining sunlight and hopefully that will prod me out off my semi-hibernating state of mind.... Would love some of CV3's weather......

Thanks guys. I take some solace in the fact that I am not alone in this mid winter funk! Tomorrow (said that several yesterdays ago) I am going to get started on something ......................
