Mike Stinnett has done a book on making his snake walkingsticks. Being a fan of his work I just gifted my self a copy. If you are not familiar with his work just Google Mike Stinnett wood carving. There are a number of YouTubes of his work. He is also a great wild life artest.
Another person who has been inspiration is Malc Spour, and artest and stickmaker in Wales.https://www.malcspourart.co.uk/walking-sticks-staffs/

I've watched several of Stinnett's videos on Youtube. Really amazing work. And his little helper (Ruby, I think is her name) was cute as can be.
I remember a while ago when Malc Spour joined the forum looking for a source of hazel stick blanks. Also a really great stick maker.

Oh my stars, these guys are absolutely fantastic artists, never in all the years I have left on this earth will I come even a speck as good as they are. WOW

I have a really good friend who is a retired Doctor who carves birds, talk about good, I am serious when I say his birds look exactly life like, no kidding. He is a member on the WCI also.
