Yes that one is bamboo.

Mortise, round tenon and a good dose of Tightbond wood glue.

I used a Veritas tenon cutter. Sometimes though I'll just whittle one to fit. The Veritas I bought from Lee valley tools and it works quite well and saves quite a bit of time of course.

Thanks, I thought they looked like they were cut with a tenon cutter. I have been considering one.
