This is my first walking cane made from Huckleberry it has a linseed oil finish.

I'm not familiar with Huckleberry -- what kind of wood is it? Hard - soft?

yes it was collected locally Huckleberry is very common around here.

Huckleberry grows in a bush and is very similar to a Blueberry but way smaller it grows wild and the wood is hard similar to Sassafras and Persimmon. It is a very stiff wood also.

That's a large Pecan Tree in my back yard.
