New cane in the works. 1 inch diameter Walnut shank with a Mahogany handle. The second picture. Is my new thought for the handle. Swirled ends and a textured top on the grip. If not this cane then next on. Since I cannot draw, I like cut and paste.

I have done both. I like the results of the hand gouge best. I use a 1/4“ #8 palm tool. The dark handle is power. Should have used a larger burr.

That is my favorit too dww2. I am thinking I will do most of my cane handles that way.
