Hello to all members and thanks for allowing me to join.
I am based in Worcester (UK) and look forward to accessing the wealth of knowledge on the site.
I have made a few sticks over the years and am now spending a little more time on stick making as I get older. I have made wooden crooks, antler sticks and thumb sticks but am about to be venturing in Rams Horn….. which is a different kettle of fish.
Just got a press made and have borrowed an old jig. Watched a few videos on Youtube and am ready to start making a hash of my first couple…. Sometimes it is best to learn from mistakes

Hello and welcome to the Forum Graham. The Uk has a wonderful history of stickmaking. I was US member of the Britsh Stickmaking Guild for a number of years. I learned a great deal from your country men.

Started on the Rams Horn today and have started a thread on it.
I have added a few photos of my other sticks and will update the progress of Rams Horn as I go but it is a slow process…
