Thanks Guys,

Man toys... Ya gotta love 'm

Rad,
Cold Steel sells a nylon cordura sheath for the tomahawk but I didn't purchase it. The hawk was purchased from Midway USA at a great price and free shipping. I spent the afternoon making a leather sheath but it's not quite finished yet. I need to go to Tandy Leather to get a snap for it. I may eventually make a Kydex sheath for it. It definitely needs one, it's shaving sharp. I have a custom Kydex sheath for the knife and I love it.

I posted my ferrocerium fire starter in another thread, but since these are some of my bushcraft / camping tools, here it is again with custom deer antler handle by me.

Sorry posted a reply to one without the pics. Beautiful! I love my CS hawks(trail and frontier)the pipe is my next purchase. Love the RAT too. What a great bushcraft duo.
Thanks! I replied to your question on the other post too. I have several bushcraft knives including the CS SRK San Mai and Recon Scout and have grown to favor the RAT. The steel is great - takes and holds an amazing edge and I really like the flat grind. It makes a nice slicer. The Recon Scout is nice, but a little clunky in comparison. When my Osage Orange dries out, I will make some custom scales for it. The custom Kydex sheath is the bomb too.

Note to anyone considering a CS Hawk; expect to have to do some work fitting the head to the haft and ditch the useless set screw.
