One of the tools I have found that helps the most with clean up of a small carving and doing detail work. Is a pen Vise and the small diamond burrs. It gives you a access to small areas and shapes for cleanup and shaping. And it is inexpensive. I get mine on amazon. This is one that I use a lot. You can get one with that fit size burr shanks this one hold 32nd and 1/8 shanks.

Hi CV3,

Agree, when doing "small" carvings as used in stick making there are often times when even the smallest knives/chisels are wanting and small diamond burrs in a power carver are very useful, as well as being a time saver,

It a great tip CV3. I have been using my battery dremel for some of the detailing but did not have decent variety of burrs and it is too big for very fine work

Found this nice variety of burrs at the local big box store. Still on the scout for the pin vise. the kids that work at the big tool store had no idea what I was talking about and the mgr was not around to ask at the time. I have seen them online but I hate to pay the as much in shipping as the tool costs. Will keep looking locally
