Both my husband & I purchased one of these sectional staffs back in the early 2000s. they are made with aircraft aluminum sections that screw apart & have O rings to keep stuff water tight.

Since I am a foot shorter than he is we swapped out one of my longer sections for one of his shorter ones. There is an amazing amount of stuff packed into the sections. A lot of it was wonky, but would have been better than nothing :) The handle section needed re-glued after 5 years or so but Golf epoxy has done a great job so far. It is not an everyday carry type of thing, but with watertight sections it stands tall next to our bugout bags.

Mine is 58 inches long. the foam grip starts at 48 inches from the bottom it is 7 inches long & about 1&1/8th inches in diameter. The rod sections are 1&1/2 inches in diameter. (About the same as a "D" cell mag flashlight)
the section I opened is 16 inches long.{ there are 2 of them}. There are2 6 inch long sections with a small 2 inch section above the grip. there is a compass inside the top cap. mine is anodized blue, with reflective stickers I added myself.
