Thank you Bill! That's pretty slick. You did a good job with the twist. I've wanted to do something like this for a snake cane but I get annoyed trying to keep everything spaced properly, proper depth. etc. That and the fact that it takes forever to get around the stick with the twist. It's the reason I haven't done many more snake canes.
Good job and I'll look forward to seeing your next one.
Bill
Thank you! I don't do it all in one sitting, you have to leave it for awhile (sometimes for days) and then come back to it -- it is very repetitious work.Wow! That is gorgeous. Great job, wish I had the patience to do something like that.
Masking tape to lay it out, a rasp to cut the grooves, and a dowel to wrap the progressive grades of sand paper around as you use the dowel like you did the rasp.Very nice job, wow. So is a good rasp all you need to complete the twist hand tool wise other than sandpaper?
Thank you! Naw! It's pretty easy -- and I'm not artistic like some of these other guys, like Bill (Lewey) so I have to keep it simple!Wow,very very impressive....That looks awesome....Too much for me to tackle..lol...
