In the 100+ canes I've made, thus far, my FAV handles are those that Mother Nature provided - not some purchased item.

Whereas my son and grandson-in-law, had they seen this piece of Osage Orange would have probably thought "kindling."

I'm not looking forward to colder weather, however, I am greatly anticipating cooler days when I'll get back into discovering what's below the bark on items such as this.

And I can hardly wait.

I'm guessing this is going to make a very nice handle - for some future cane.

Looks like a natural to me. It should be a great handle with just a little work.

Natural handles do seem to fit the hand nicely.
