No stick making for a couple of days. Have plumbers and carpenters in remodeling 2 rooms in my house, and shifting things around for them, and keeping up with the debris they miss is taking most of my energy. To cold, anyway, to work in my porch "shop."

Stumbled across this artists work. Among the things he does with wood are a number of pieces where he cuts away everything but the original sapling that was inside of a fully grown tree. Thought it was pretty cool from the perspective of understanding the structure of wood. I suspect some of you will find it pretty cool too.

Where do people like this get these incredible ideas from? I have never had a "brain" for design. My wife sorts out everything to do with the house. For me, if it's practical then I'm happy. N.
