Always on the look out for that different or unique piece of wood for a stick, topper or a carving. Found this chunk of aspen while foraging around in the Ashley National Forest. Piece is about 24" on the axis top to bottom and around 30" in length. Perhaps a couple stick toppers?

Nice find. About a year ago it occurred to me to look for naturally bent wood to use as handle pieces. Looks like you should be able to get a couple of nice curved handles from that.
