At last! This is for the Texas Wood Carvers Guild canes for Vets program. I thought I would never get this done. Other projects and other issues just kept getting in the way. But it will be in the mail tomorrow.

I like the way you have stylized the eyes and you have made good use of the gouge marks for the texture of the feathers .

Its been interesting to watch how you developed it .

Sure it will find a good nest to go to , well done.

Nicely done, one to be proud of. If I could ask, why did you go with the red around the eye?

You may have been impatient to finish, but the work looks consistent and fine.

Might you mention what you used for pigments?

JJireh: I just thought I would do something different. I think it give it a bit more of a aggressive look and I wanted to incorporate colors in the Marine dress uniform and the flag.

gdenby: They are just your basic acrylic paints.
