Question for you guys out there, if a maker wants to make a bit of side money, not saying like making tons of it, but enough to pay your labour /material with a bit left over for a night at the casino, what would be the best seller between stick or cane?

as of now the only thing I sold was the wizard staff. my two other walking sticks I gave to family.

I guess that would depend on the setting. At a craft fair or county fair in a rural area you might sell more primitive sticks and staffs for the hikers and folk art people. A setting for the hipster and or steampunk crowd might be better for Victorian style walking sticks. Wood handle canes could go either way. Just like in any business setting...know your customers.

OK, now I've got a bug in my ear and started on a steampunk cane! Lots of brass do-dads and fittings, springs, coils and a vapor tank. Even have three interconnected gears that turn each one if any is moved. I ordered a hollow cutout brass handle that should work nice when it's done.
