To me stick making is a good addiction and the therapy comes from getting to make sticks. My wife asked me why I go out to my shed and work on my sticks I told her its a good stress relief when hunting season not in.
My problem is I see sticks in every tree every limb -- and you know you have a problem when you start plotting how you can get that limb off your neighbors tree -- or the one along the street -- or in the park or ........ You get the picture!
Agree with all, a very therapeutic (and frustrating at times ) hobby, when on holiday can get withdrawal symptoms so usually hunt round for a bit of wood to whittle.
