Can someone give me information on a good Wood Router.
I'm looking into building a router table and mounting it so I can make kitchen raised door panels and more.
Or your own personal experience with a good router. How big a router I would need.
If I were going to make mouldings I would want a shaper. It has higher horsepower, and can drive stacked bits to make the different mouldings.
You can make some of the simpler designs with a router mounted to a table, you probably need 1 horsepower or more.
Be very careful of your setups and use good jigs, the table mounted routers will eat fingers. DR
I have this Bosch PR20EVSNK router mounted and has done a great job for me, I still haven't figured out how I want to make it a raised router yet.
Corded-electric wood router with fixed base and 1 HP / 5.7 amp motor. 16,000 – 35,000 RPM. Soft start system. Quick-lock system.
