My shop vac catches the coarser material, but the really fine material gets through it. I don't have one of those large drum/filter attachments.
Last week, ants were coming into a breakfast nook window. I dusted them with boric acid (powder). That evening, I vacuumed all that up with the shop vac, and the scent of the boric acid was all over that part of the house! I had to get a fan set up in the window to suck out the poisonous air.
