I've had this piece of wood for a few years but just got around to getting it finished.
From top to bottom is an amazing zig zag of worm chew pattern going all way around.
It's the only one I've found that is this extensive.

Very unique piece Sean. I like it. Unfortunately around here we have the Emerald Ash Borer, a present from the Chinese, devastating the ash trees so borer tracks in dead trees are all too common. I fear I will have an endless supply of ash to work with...........

This one is cedar and would be interested in knowing what kind of bug left the chew in it. I'll look into it a bit and see. We have a real problem up here Mark with the pine beetle attacking and killing off acres of pine up north of us it's quite an amazing site to see all the dead standing wood. Not good during the forest fire season.
