How to make your own quad-cane

Even though I hope I'll never need one, I might. So why not make my own, I figured.

The KEY issue was the perfect "sling-shot" branch I found in a brush pile behind our local post office. At first I thought I'd send it to my grandson for his two boys but because I did not have two decided that wasn't a good idea. I stuck the branch back into the corner, almost forgetting about it and then this idea came to me. I really was not certain I could pull this off.

It's finished, and could be used, if necessary...however, it needs a little fine tuning once the weather cooperates.

Nice presentation Norton. I was wondering how you attached the two singal legs to the shaft? I have also played with quad leges. I have not found away to attach legs to the side of the shaft I have felt was safe for full body weight. I have done a few using a four leg platform attached to bottom of a shaft. Thanks for sharing.

Since I no longer have my power tools avail, i.e., table saw, band saw, etc., a friend attached those two extra legs for me and said it was quite difficult getting them at the perfect angle and length. When he brought it back to me a week later it already had the "basket/split-shot/epoxy" combo so I cannot establish for certain how he achieved that.

Sorry.
